NO SIGN OF JAMES
Police are still hoping to trace the whereabouts of Caldicot man James Nutley, who disappeared while on a golfing holiday to Tenby in October.

SECOND FIRE AT SCHOOL
A second fire within the space of a few weeks led to the evacuation of Caldicot Comprehensive School. The fire, in a toilet in the school’s Castle building, is believed to have been started deliberately. It was quickly brought under control by the fire brigade. There were no casualties. Police are investigating.

GIRL POWER AT FIRE STATION
Alison Kibblewhite, aged 36, has been appointed station commander at Caldicot fire station, making her the first fire station commander in Wales.
