PROTEST
OVER CAR PARKING CHARGES
Community and business representatives have voiced their protests over
proposals by Monmouthshire County Council to introduce charges in Caldicot’s
Jubilee Way and Woodstock Way car parks.
COUNCIL TO
CLOSE CASH OFFICE
Monmouthshire County Council is to close its cash office at the one-stop
shop in Woodstock Way, Caldicot. The move comes in spite of the council’s
own survey showing that 75% of respondents preferred to pay their rent
at the cash offices.
SCHOOLS
HIT BY TRANSPORT CUTS
The headteacher and governors at Caldicot Comprehensive School have joined
their counterparts in other Monmouthshire secondary schools to send a
letter of protest to Monmouthshire County Council following the council’s
decision to cut free transport for 16-18 year olds.
