POLICE ON
ALERT AFTER ‘ABDUCTION ATTEMPT’
Extra police patrols were ordered in the Woodstock Way area of Caldicot
after a 12 year old boy reported that a man in a blue people carrier had
‘offered him a lift’ while he was walking to school. The man
is described as of average height and built with short hair and a local
accent. Police have asked the man to contact them.
MOBILITY
SCHEME LAUNCHED
Caldicot Shop Mobility Scheme was officially launched by Councillor Allan
Breeze, Chairman of Monmouthshire County Council. Under the scheme, which
is manned by volunteers, people with mobility problems can collect one
of four motorised scooters from a collection point in Jubilee Way car
park. The scooters are available from 10 a.m. –2 p.m. Monday to
Friday.

YOUTHS IN CHEPSTOW BRAWL
It was alleged by police that Caldicot youths were amongst those who travelled
to Chepstow for a “pre-meditated brawl” in the Tesco car park
