*Big Mac's Wholly Soul Band*

15 years of success follows their launch as the house band for the legendary Hollywood Club in Newport in 1991. Soon after, supporting The Commitments lead to appearances with top names in top venues across Europe.

Charismatic frontman Mike ‘Big Mac’ McNamara. Mike is a Soul singer with a line up of tenor sax, trumpet and trombone, bass, drums, guitar, keyboards and two dynamic female vocalists.

The band is fully self contained with lights, p.a., transport, road crew and a highly efficient sound engineer capable of gauging the needs and requirements of every audience, venue and event.

There are a great number of bands possessing a similar set and structure but none with such inspired authenticity. As awed members of The Commitments said… ‘We’ve found Wilson Pickett!’

From its very beginning the band has been immensely popular, building a rock solid reputation. They are a firm favourite at weddings, festivals, corporate events and social gatherings where a first class, energetic and wholly infectious good time act is required .

Agents, event organizers, management companies, hundreds of ecstatic newly weds and countless satisfied audiences will confirm that Big Mac’s Wholly Soul Band are really ‘where it’s at!’

The Stage said ; 'An explosive start to the evening was provided by Big Mac's Wholly Soul Band. This is the way to play soul and Motown-a full ten piece band, great brass section, girl backing singers, pulsating rhythm section and Big Mac himself on lead vocals-not only great musicianship but also a great performance. I am not surprised that it is one of the most popular outfits in South Wales, as it was absolutely superb. If you book corporate functions or summer balls and want a great dance band, you could do a lot worse. This is a truly hot band.'Big Mac's clients include:-

The British Variety Club, The Royal Mint, L'Oreal, The Showman's Association, The Equestrian Society, and even Leyhill Open Prison!

*THE BROTHERS BLUE*

Gareth, aka Joilet Jake, has worked in the music business for many years. He is a pianist, vocalist, and a man of many other talents. If you're lucky, you may see him tinkle the ivories during the show (if Dan lets him). Gareth has worked as a Musical Director for operatic societies as well as musicals.

Eager to get a successful Brothers Blue Show Band as part of their duo, Gareth takes a forward role with the rehearsals and is one of many perfectionists within the group.

Nick, aka Elwood, makes up the other half of the already well established partnership. He has been singing for many years, and after teaming up with Gareth for a completely different reason, he took singing to a whole new level as part of their own tribute act. An experienced dancer (he wishes), Nick moves his hips in such a way on stage that’s sure to get all the ladies excited.

Nick likes new challenges, and this one has proved the most rewarding so far.
