The Caldicot Medical Group was formed in 1975 when the two practices centred in Caldicot combined. In 1990 we moved into new purpose-built premises where we expanded and improved our services. In 1996 we expanded Gray Hill Surgery to allow space to introduce physiotherapy and extra consultant clinics. In 1979 we opened a branch surgery at Dorset House in Magor. Improvements were made to this building in 1975 and further extensions are planned. Fundholding is planned to finish in April 1999. From this date we will be members of Monmouthshire Local Health Group and we hope to co-operate with other practices in Monmouthshire to maintain and hopefully improve our services to the community.

Surgery Times and Appointments
Gray Hill Surgery in Caldicot has a new appointment system which came into force on 4 November 2002 called Instant Access, which is:

• At the start of the each day all appointments will be available.
• When you ask for an appointment you will be offered one ON THE SAME DAY.
• You are asked to contact them on the same day you want to be seen instead of booking ahead.
• You will be able to telephone or call at the surgery in person for an appointment an the same day.
• You will not be able to book an appointment in advance.
