Main open spaces in Caldicot include the 8 acre King George V Playing Field; the playing field off Longfellow Road; the Beech Road Children's Playground and 'Kickabout' area, the children's play equipment at Caldicot Castle Country Park and two football pitches. There are also playing fields attached to the Comprehensive School and these have 'out of school' use by arrangement through the Leisure Centre. The King George V Playing Fields at Newport Road have two football pitches, a bowling green, a children's playground, changing rooms and pavilions for bowls and football home of Caldicot Town A.F.C.

There are several sports clubs in Caldicot attached to the Leisure Centre including, to name but a few; the Squash, Badminton,Tennis, Netball Clubs. Also there are courses arranged to enable certain sports to be learnt. In addition there are in Caldicot junior, youth and senior soccer clubs, as well as ladies hockey, bowls, cricket and swimming clubs. There is a swimming pool at the Leisure Centre. The Caldicot Rugby Club is based at Longfellow Road Playing Fields.
