This book has been edited by Grace Watts, Chair of Caldicot U3A, and Lynnette Wood and they gratefully acknowledge the efforts and contributions made the following people and organisations.

The production of a book like this requires contributions from many people and many sources. First, thanks are due to the members of Caldicot U3A who took the time and trouble to write their stories, articles and poems, also the members of the Art group who produced the sketches. Without the efforts of these members, the book would have no content. It is hoped that the result of all their labours will be entertaining, even enlightening, to all those who read the book.

Thanks are expressed to Dennis Appleton and members of the Computer group for the typing and preparation of the text for presentation to the printers. A tedious task, if ever there was one!

The Book Committee, who put in a lot of time proof-reading and agreeing the layout of the book also deserve a special vote of thanks.

As mentioned earlier, it has required the co-operation and support of outside organisations to produce this book. In particular, the grant received from The Heritage Lottery Fund has considerably eased the financial burden. Thanks also to Oscar Puls, Vice Chair of Caldicot U3A, for his efforts in negotiating the grant.
